Hot Shots: DJ WhutevvaHot Shots: DJ Whutevva

I don't really have a regimen when getting ready. I do have to drink some Tropicana orange juice though before I leave the house or hotel...

Introducing... DJ Whutevva

Crème Magazine: What inspired you to DJ?

DJ Whutevva: As a kid I listened to the radio a lot and loved how DJ's were able to put
there own style to a record. Shout to the Kool DJ Red Alert on that one.

Crème Magazine: Where are some places where we can check you out?

DJ Whutevva: I can be heard on New York's Power 105 Friday nights from 2 to 4 am, as
well as Music Choice and clubs across the country. Also look out for me at a
college near you.

Crème Magazine: What is your regimen when getting ready for a party?

DJ Whutevva: I don't really have a regimen when getting ready. I do have to drink some
Tropicana orange juice though before I leave the house or hotel on my way to
the club lol. That's just a habit I picked up about 2 years ago.

Crème Magazine: What was the hottest party you ever spun?

DJ Whutevva: That's a tough one, but I would have to say the Barack Obama and John McCain
debate after party. That party was crazyyy lol.

Crème Magazine: Do you have any pet peeves when DJ-ing?

DJ Whutevva: I hate when people try to talk to
me as I'm DJ-ing. I am usually in a zone while I'm spinning, so that has to be
my # 1 pet peeve.

Crème Magazine: DJ's are famous for breaking records, what's the last record you premiered
in the club that had everyone going crazy?

DJ Whutevva: Hmmmm, the last record would have to be the throw it in the bag remix by
Fabolous and The Dream. I shut the club down when I first dropped that
record.

Crème Magazine: Do you think that the CD revolution has enhanced or spoiled the DJ art form?

DJ Whutevva: Honestly I think it spoiled it some. I believe a DJ should know what vinyl
and a turntable feels like. A lot of new DJ's can't even tell you what a head.
shell looks like.

Crème Magazine: What are 3 key business attributes to being a successful DJ?

DJ Whutevva: Passion, Dedication, and Persistence.

Crème Magazine: At the end of the day what's your definition of a Hot Shot?

DJ Whutevva: Someone who is seriously making moves in there business. I would call DJ
Whutevva a young Hot Shot, stay tuned.
